Club America defeats Inter Milan on penalty kicks – Video Highlights – Inter Milan dominated possession but America played a solid match to win on penalty kicks Sunday in the first match of the World Football Challenge. Both teams failed to score in the first half as they appeared a bit rusty. America grabbed the lead early in the 2nd half with a goal from Juan Carlos Silva in the 51st minute but Inter responded with a goal from Ivan Cordoba in the 61st minute. The match remained tied after regulation time and came down to penalty kicks. It was tied 3-3 in the penalty kicks when Patrick Vieira for Inter Milan missed his penalty. American coverted all 5 of their chances and won 6-5 (1-1, 5-4 penalty kicks).
