Malaysia Soccer Man UnitedThe English Premier League continued its week 2 matches with Man U at Wigan, Arsenal hosting Portsmouth, Man City at home against Wolverhampton, Hull City hosting Bolton, Sunderland hosting Blackburn, and Birmingham hosting Stoke City. Overall most of the home teams won except for Wigan who were crushed by Manchester United. Here’s a recap of all the matches along with video highlights.

Manchester United crushes Wigan 5-0 – Video Highlights

Man U looked to be heading for another tough match as it was scoreless at halftime. Fortunately for the reigning Premier League champions they found their form in the second half and scored five unanswered goals to dominated the match. Wayne Rooney had two goals, Berbatov had one, Nani another, and Michael Owen got his first goal of season.

Arsenal cruises past Portsmouth 4-1 – Video Highlights

Arsenal had two goals from Abou Diaby to grab an early 2-0 lead and never looked back as they remained undefeated in the 2009-10 Premier League season. Portsmouth was able to one back with a goal from Younes Kaboul but Arsenal scored two more in the second half to secure the victory. The second half goals were from Ramsey and Gallas.

Manchester City tops Wolverhampton 1-0 – Video Highlights

Man City continued their strong start with a 1-0 home win as Emmanuel Adebayor scored another goal. The match came in the 17th minute as City controlled most of the match.

Sunderland beats Blackburn Rovers 2-1 – Video Highlights

Blackburn took an early first half lead on a 21st minute goal from Gael Givet but Sunderland had two from Kenwyne Jones to get the victory at home. The first came in the 32nd minute while the gamewinner was in the 53rd minute.

Hull City edges Bolton Wanderers 1-0 – Video Highlights

Hull got their first points of the season with a 1-0 win at home. The game winning goal came from Kamel Ghilas in the 61st minute.

Birmingham and Stoke play to a 0-0 draw – Video Highlights

Birmingham and Stoke City played to a draw on Saturday as neither team could convert. The home side (Birmingham) has more possession but the two teams combined only had 3 shots on goal.
