Arsenal had a lead going into the final minutes but conceded a late goal to AZ Alkmaar as they drew 1-1 on Tuesday in the UEFA Champions League. The Gunners took the lead in the first half with a 36th minute goal from Cesc Fabregas as they would lead 1-0 after 45 minutes.
Alkmaar continued to hold Arsenal to one goal and would finally find the back of the net in the final minutes of the second half. David Mendes Da Silva scored in the 90th minute for the home side to level it at 1-1. Arsenal is still in good position to qualify for the knockout stage while Alkmaar needed the point to keep their chances alive.
