Inter Milan (Internazaionale) beats Udinese 2-1 – Recap and Video Highlights – Saturday, October 3, 2009

Inter Milan or Internazionale hosted Udinese on Saturday looking to recover from last week’s loss against Sampdoria. The match took place at the San Siro. Inter Milan (Internazionale) beats Udinese 2-1 – Video Highlights

Inter Milan took the lead in the match in the 22nd minute with a goal from Dejan Stankovic. The goal was assisted by Samuel Eto’o who sent a through ball for Stankovic. With the lead, the home side looked ready to take control but Udinese would quickly respond. Antonio Di Natale scored for Udinese in the 27th minute assisted by Gokhan Inler. Inler sent a through ball for Di Natale who evened the match.

Neither team was able to score for the rest of the first half as it would be 1-1 after 45 minutes.

Both teams got chance in the 2nd half as the match seemed like it could be a draw or win for either side. It would remain scoreless until the final moments of the match when Internazionale got the goal they needed. Wesley Sneijder scored for Inter Milan in the 90th minute with a shot from close range.  Sneijder made a nice shot but it was a combination of poor defending and goaltending that led to the goal. It was a tough match and a much needed victory for Inter.

Udinese is now 3-2-2 with 11 points while Internazionale is 5-1-1 with 16 points.
