Rangers hosted German Bundesliga side VfB as they needed a win to have any chance of making the knockout stage. The Scottish side has struggled in the group stage while Stuttgart has not done much better. Here’s a recap of the match along with video highlights.

Rangers started off slow and Stuttgart would grab the early lead in the first half. The goal came in the 16th minute and was scored by Sebastian Rudy. Stuttgart had most of the chances and possession early but Rangers would pick up their play after conceding the goal. They had a few good chances including an open header for striker Kris Boyd who failed to put it on goal.
Rangers would fail to convert any of their chances in the entire match and Stuttgart would score one more in the second half to put the match out of reach. The goal came from Zdravko Kuzmanovic in the 59th minute to make it 2-0.
It’s been a disappointing campaign for Rangers who have struggled, especially at home, in the Champions League this season.
