Everton and Tottenham draw 2-2 – Video Highlights

Everton came from an 0-2 deficit to salvage a point against Tottenham on Sunday. The visitors will be disappointed to not get the three points as they had a 2-0 lead and a penalty late to win the match. The first goal for Tottenham came from Jermain Defoe who scored off a cross from Aaron Lennon. The next goal for Spurs came on a corner kick as Michael Dawson headed it past Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard.

The match seemed in hand for Tottenham but Everton would recover to tie it up. Louis Saha scored on a volley from a cross and Tim Cahill added one more to make it 2-2. After grabbing the 2-0 lead, Tottenham relaxed a little too much and Everton never gave up hope of getting a point in the match. As the match entered the final moments, Tottenham earned a penalty kick which was taken by Defoe.

Defoe shot down the middle but didn’t hit it well and goalkeeper Tim Howard made the save as the match ended in a 2-2 draw. It was a tough match for Tottenham who should have gotten three points. Everton continues to struggle and needed the point.
